BLIMEY, so much has happened while I've been away.
That's always the case isn't it. When you're home nothing happens and the minute you leave the country the whole world changes, of course the big news in the music and football world is the birth of little Brooklyn Beckham - baby of David and Posh Spice. The baby apparently looks like his daddy and they both have things in common already - they both kick and dribble a lot. Don't forget it's Mother's Day on Sunday and St Patrick's Day next Wednesday - but now here's the Starbeat Record Review.
Madonna - Nothing Really Matters: Here she is - the Queen of sleaze back again with another brilliant single from the multi-million selling album 'Ray Of Light'. After five Grammy nominations and a Brit nomination for Best International Female she's cruising at the moment.
Steps - Better Best Forgotten: Well - didn't these do well - after their last single 'Tragedy/Hearbeat' which stayed in the Top 10 for seven weeks and sold over 750,000 copies their new single features the girls only - Hurrah. Maybe they were reading my column a few weeks ago when I suggested this - looks like another big hit - came out on Monday.
Manic Street Preachers - You Stole The Sun From My Heart: It usually takes me quite a few listens to get into a Manics song. This one has had an instant hit on me - a really catchy melody very radio friendly. Check out their current album - 'This Is My Truth Tell Me Yours', in fact you can win one in this week's competition.
