DARREN Huckerby has seen the goals dry up since a purple patch in January brought him seven in just three games, including two hat-tricks.
Macclesfield in the FA Cup, followed by Nottingham Forest in the League, were the hat-trick victims of Coventry City's lightning-quick striker.
And, while his last Premiership goal was against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on January 16, it's a fair bet that plans to curb the pace of Huckerby at Highfield Road tomorrow have been high on Rovers boss Brian Kidd's agenda.
Huckerby only cost City £800,000 from Newcastle just over two years ago but their forthright chairman Bryan Richardson already reckons he is worth £10 million - if they were selling and they aren't.
"He's been brilliant. He's got three and a half years left of his contract and there is no reason to think he will be going anywhere.
"We certainly don't want him to go and think we can keep him happy at Coventry."
Manager Gordon Strachan added: "I don't know how good he can get. All I know is that there are levels you can get on and achieve as a player.
"I don't think he has found his level yet. He can get a lot better."
Meanwhile, Coventry have reported Aston Villa for allegedly making an illegal approach for their midfield man George Boateng.
Richardson said: "Villa have been reported to the FA and the Premier League for an absolute clear breach of the rules and a clear illegal approach to George Boateng with a view to unsettling the player - which they have.
"I am not having George Boateng stolen from us or unsettled by another club."
