AS prescription charges are set to rise again, it is time the government made everyone on Income Support pay a nominal fee towards theirs - say £1 per item.
When I visit the Post Office, I see people collecting their Income Support. Some are smoking; others buy lottery tickets and then they drive off in a car.
Then, I go into a chemist and hear people say to the shop assistant they are on Income Support and while their prescription is being dispensed, they are looking round the shop, and purchasing expensive toiletries.
Then, it's my turn and I have to pay £11.60 for my prescription. Where's the justice?
The system is totally unfair and needs sorting out.
