OFFICIALS of a well-established amateur rugby league club are hoping to stage a grand reunion get-together of all the players who have represented the club since its formation in the mid 1970s.
West Sutton ARLFC are currently in Division One of the North West Counties League, having begun life as the Green Dragon and becoming Smithy Manor before adopting their present title.
The team are scheduled to entertain Ulverston in their final league fixture of the season on Saturday, March 13 and this will be followed by a buffet and reunion party in the Green Dragon from 5pm onwards.
Player/coach Willie Johnson told the Star: "We thought it would be a great way to end the current league season by having a get-together of everyone who has been connected with the club over the last 25 years or so.
"We have managed to contact quite a few of the old lads but there are still plenty of others we need to get in touch with. Ideally we would like everyone to come down to the match on Saturday and then make a night of it at the pub."
Anyone requiring further details can contact Willie on 814185 or Austin Rodgers on 817296.
