I WAS sorry to read that Mr Cyril Young from Atherton was discouraged from switching to British Gas for his household electricity (Journal Mailbox).
However, I'm delighted to report a "happy ending" to his tale.
Mr Young was under the impression that he needed to produce a wealth of documentation and records, such as bills from his current supplier. And he thought that without them he would be unable to take advantage of our offer of cheaper electricity.
After reading his letter in the Journal we contacted him personally to explain how he could switch supplier with the minimum of fuss. Although it can be useful to look at previous bills as a guide to future consumption, this is not essential.
Mr Young was glad to hear the news and has decided to go ahead with his switch to British Gas. We are now looking forward to supplying all his energy needs well in to the future, and no doubt he is looking forward to the savings he can make.
