SCHOOLCHILDREN struck a chord with music lovers at an annual festival at Oswaldtwistle Civic Theatre.
The Schools Celebration of Music, organised by Accrington Rotary Club, was originally held over one or two days, but hit such a high note that it was extended to three so more schools could be invited.
Highlights included Rhyddings High School steel band and solo performances from students taking GCSE music exams.
Organiser Mark Schofield said: "This year we invited every Hyndburn high school plus six primary schools.
"It's a non-competitive celebration of music. There is a very wide spectrum, from choirs to instrumentals. Any money raised always goes back to the schools."
