PROFITS at Meggitt, which owns two sites in Blackburn, have jumped more than 12 per cent.
Pre-tax profits in 1998 rose to £35.3 million compared with £31. 4 million in 1997.
In 1998 the firm had sales of £293 million compared with £265 million in 1997.
Its Meggitt Petroleum Systems division supplies fuel pump systems to major supermarket chains. Meggitt also operates the Silicone Engineering site in the town.
