MOTHERING Sunday was extra special for Paula Neville because she was presented with a beautiful bouquet of flowers from her daughter Lauren at Burnley's Turf Moor.
Burnley Football Club's Community Programme ran a competition with local primary schools when cards were distributed to children and they were asked to design a card for Mothering Sunday.
Community football coach Hughie Bridge said: "Lauren's card was excellent and was picked from the hundreds of entries as the best."
During half-time at yesterday's home derby with Preston Lauren, a pupil at Brunshaw Primary School, Burnley, got the chance to present her mum with the bouquet of flowers for designing the best card.
