A SHOCKING House of Commons report on hospitals revealed that Burnley, Pendle and Rossendale topped the death league with patients three times more likely to die after surgery than the NHS average.
Blackburn, Hyndburn and the Ribble Valley was only just behind with the death rate running at 2.5 times the average.
