A BID to dip into a fund to regenerate two run-down areas of Hyndburn is set to be handed in to government bosses.
Residents in Netherton ward, Great Harwood, were invited to a meeting as part of the council's bid to secure £2 million in single regeneration budget money.
The event followed similar consultation with people on Huncoat's Within Grove estate, who could also benefit from the Government cash.
More than 30 people turned up to air their views on the document after questionnaires were delivered to their homes.
Great Harwood residents said they would like to see the town hall doors open for more social activities.
Second on their priority list were leisure facilities, with a view to keeping young people off the streets.
Health issues made up the rest of the wish list, with schemes including surveys on the impact of industry and old people's health.
The state of the town's streets and the market were also among residents' concerns, but proposals for a floodlit cricket pitch and children's breakfast club were given the thumbs down.
The final bid is due to be handed over to north west government officials next month before a decision is made on the application in June.
Councillor David Forshaw said: "These proposals show we're going the extra mile and we trust people will help put the heart back into the town."
