PENDLE MP Gordon Prentice has met senior figures from the world of textile and fashion in London.
The secretary of the All-Party Parliamentary Textiles, Clothing and Footwear Group went to the Mansion House in the city to meet manufacturing executives, tailors from the world-famous Savile Row, fashion and art students, and representatives of the British Knitting and Clothing Export Council.
Mr Prentice said: "The textile industry is enormously important to my own constituency and to the UK. We need to give it the support it deserves.
"Textiles are still big business in Pendle and the prosperity of the industry very much matters to me."
