SATISFIED customers of Lancashire's Welfare Rights department have helped raise £805 for the children's hospice Derian House.
Welfare Rights is a free service, but some customers have shown their gratitude with donations. With their consent, the cash was passed on to Trevor Briggs, of Derian House.
Coun McKenna said: "Each year the welfare rights services helps hundred of people to get the benefit which they deserve and I am delighted that many of our customers choose to give a little back.
"Naturally our staff do not accept gifts and there is no charge for any of our services, but these donations allow us to help our chosen charities who really benefit from these people's generosity."
