BRITISH Aerospace's first exchange worker is spending 12 weeks at the firm's Samlesbury site, near Preston.
BAe initiated the exchange programme with Swedish firm SAAB and Linkoping-based customer support engineer Kent Molin, 29, is the first to travel to the UK.
The programme has offered Kent, who will be working in the Hawk Integrated Logistics Support department, the chance to gain professional understanding of BAe's products. But, despite the recent sunshine, Kent wasn't so impressed by Lancashire's weather.
He said: "It is certainly wetter than Sweden and feels colder, even though there's no snow.
"However, everyone is very friendly and helpful. I have particularly enjoyed visiting the local pubs and enjoying a pint at £2, rather than £5 back home." The sponsors of Kent's programme are John Hallas, deputy director of customer support Gripen export, and Greg Bolan, head of integrated logistics support of Hawk, Samlesbury.
