I WRITE regarding the council tax bills and the fact that Bury has opted for the second highest hike in the county.
Could Councillor John Byrne please justify his statement that local people have shown that they would be prepared to pay more tax if it went into improving services.
I have never been asked for my opinion, neither have any of my friends or relations. And in any case, more money is not always the answer - how about a more efficient use of the money that is already there!
