WHY are items in Bury's charity shops so expensive? They have very few overheads so why do they insist on putting ridiculous prices on everything?
I cannot afford to buy new for myself and my family so charity shops used to be a God send. Now, I can rarely afford to buy from them. I am sure that if they lowered their prices they would sell more and make more profit in the long run.
I find it insulting that they ask more than £5 for a dress and £2 for a book. Considering that all the things in the shops are donated, I think they have got a nerve.
I used to give all my unwanted items to the charity shops but I won't be doing so in the future. I will have a car-boot sale instead and I will also buy from there as they are considerably cheaper.
SWEET CHARITY
