MEALS on Wheels in Leigh has been a family affair for Eunice Sephton.
Three generations of her family have been involved with the WRVS-run service for 71 years.
But at the moment, Eunice, WRVS organiser for Meals on Wheels in Leigh, needs help.
She's looking for drivers and helpers to support her with the 36,000 meals served to the elderly every year, in partnership with Wigan Council.
"My family have been involved with WRVS Meals on Wheels in Leigh for 71 years - my grandmother and mother both delivered for them," said Eunice.
"We have members of all ages and both sexes, and they give anything from a few hours a week to a couple of hours a month.
"But WRVS volunteers deliver far more than meals - for many individuals the delivery is a welcome source of social contact.
"Volunteers take an active interest in the welfare of the recipients and provide care, assistance and company."
A car and minibus is available to use for deliveries, or people can use their own cars, where expenses will be paid towards the cost.
Anyone interested in helping Meals on Wheels should ring Eunice on 01942 673156 (9am-2pm, Monday-Thursday), or call in to the WRVS office, 14 Walmesley Road, Leigh.
