A BLACKPOOL school has proved it has worldly-wise pupils by reaching the finals of a national geography quiz.
Arnold School is through to the finals of the Geographical Association Worldwise Quiz after three pupils won the North West regional final at Liverpool Hope University College recently.
The team of Christian Day, Barry Dean and Christopher Brown saw off competition from schools in Cumbria, Blackburn, Manchester and the Isle of Man.
The national finals will be held next month at the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST).
