WITH 42 years experience of Boston Terriers the Glynn family know a good 'un when they see one.

And so did the judges at Crufts.

Mother and daughter Kathleen Glynn and Julie Williams entered their 14 months-old bitch Kim at Crufts and she won the Utility Group Bitch Challenge Certificate. Unusually she won her first CC as a puppy and another will give her champion status.

"She's a natural showgirl - full of charisma. She goes in to the ring and seems to throw out a challenge to the rest. She's only been in four championship shows but she's done a lot of winning," beamed Julie pictured with her winner.

Kim, stage name "Coppergold Simply Stunning", is the latest in a long-line of top dogs which started when Norman and Kathleen Glynn began their involvement with the breed way back in 1957.

Julie has continued that commitment and worked animal magic with dogs and horses.

The Coppergold line had more success to celebrate at Crufts where Kathleen and Julie were presented with the top Boston terrier stud dog of the year trophy for Wildax Vagabond at Coppergold (pet name Hobo).

They also took second place in the open bitch class with Coppergold Simply A Sequal.

And the trend looks set to continue. Julie's four year-old daughter, Jennifer, can't wait until she's six and eligible to enter a Boston in the show ring. Meanwhile she practises with the dogs at home and keeps busy with her pet pony.
