BURY Times journalists have proved once again they are the brains of Bury.
The three-strong team successfully defended their title in the Clough and Willis quiz last week.
The annual general knowledge test organised by the Bury solicitors attracted some 30 teams from local business, including banks, accountants, lawyers, and the BT's sister paper, the Bolton Evening News.
After a shaky start, which saw the team from the BEN in the lead, the BT trio took over at the top in round two and never looked back, recording a comfortable victory by the end of the evening.
The three, news editor Richard Lewis, chief reporter Peter Doherty, and TV columnist Mike Badham, were presented with the coveted trophy by senior partner Mr John Watson for the second year running. Each of them received a magnum of champagne.
