POTENTIAL business opportunities in Egypt will come under the spotlight at a meeting in Bury next month.
It is being staged by Bolton Bury Export Club at Bury Town Hall on Monday, April 26 at 11.30am.
At a recent club meeting, the Euro prompted heated debate when local business people and politicians shared their views on joining the EMU.
Prepare to deal with the realities of the modern world and embrace the Euro was the message from Harry Birtwistle, area corporate manager for Barclays Bank.
Bury South MP Ivan Lewis and Bolton Council Conservative member John Walsh debated the pros and cons of joining EMU.
Perhaps the most important conclusion of the occasion - sponsored by Barclays Bank and the DTI Overseas Trade Services - was that further debate and consultation is vitally important in guiding the way forward for Britain.
