FORGET the Oscars, local woman Suzette Howard and her daughter Cheryl were given the star treatment when they went to London for a VIP premiere of their own TV advertisement.
Mrs Howard and Cheryl, of Ainsworth Road, Bury, travelled in style in a chauffeur-driven limousine to the Saatchi and Saatchi offices where they saw the Oil of Ulay Mother's Day television commercial in which they starred.
The 10-year-old Greenhill CP School pupil entered a drawing of her mother to win a national competition. With it, in no more than 25 words, she had to say why she considered her mother to be the most beautiful mum in the world!
Mrs Howard was described as "caring, helpful and always sharing".
"She helps me clean my hamster, Pluto, and at night she reads me sweet stories," said Cheryl.
The 35-year-old mother-of-two made her debut in an Oil of Ulay advert which was shown throughout the week nationwide, featuring Cheryl's voice and their hamster, Pluto.
After the screening, along with the six other winners, they were whisked off to a lunch at Planet Hollywood.
Said Mrs Howard: "We had a fabulous time. We really felt like celebrities in the limousine and they treated us to champagne and cakes."
She added: "It is strange to see myself on TV. It has been a really enjoyable experience and I am very glad Cheryl entered the competition."
