THE teenage son of a former council boss has been found hanged at his home.
Marc Hopkins, 16, was found by his parents at the family home in Slaidburn Road, Grindleton, on Saturday morning.
Police said there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death. His father, Ossie Hopkins, is the former chief executive of Ribble Valley Council where staff today were too distressed to speak.
A spokesman said the atmosphere in the council offices was very sad following news of the "tragic occurence."
Blackburn, Hyndburn and Ribble Valley coroner Andre Rebello has been informed.
