FRIENDS and neighbours of the Karim family had them in their thoughts as they arrived for sunset prayers at the local mosque, Masjid-E-Sajedeen Islamic Centre in Little Harwood.
The entire Muslim community has been stunned by the vicious murders of jeweller Mohammed "Tony" Karim and his wife Bilquis. The couple attended the mosque near their home regularly and had recently made a donation to the centre.
The tight-knit Little Harwood community has been left stunned by the horrific murders.
Arriving for prayers Mr Sulaman Ali said: "I can't believe this has happened, we are all so shocked.
"Mr Karim was such a nice man, a gentleman.
"The whole community is shocked and upset, this is a tragedy.
"I knew Mr Karim and his family and I just can't believe it has happened."
Another neighbour said: "Everybody at the mosque is shocked and saddened.
"We just cannot believe that something as terrible as this could happen to somebody in our community."
