FORMER schoolfriends of a teenager found hanged took part in an assembly in his memory.
The parents of Marc Hopkins, 16, found him dead at the family home in Slaidburn Road, Grindleton, on Saturday morning. Police said there were no suspicious circumstances.
His father, Ossie Hopkins, is the former chief executive of Ribble Valley Council.
Until recently, Marc was a pupil at Bowland High School, where head teacher Steve Colling said he was a popular lad with a close circle of friends.
"We are very saddened by his death and our thoughts are with his family," he said. The funeral and burial will take place at St Helen's Church, Waddington, at 1pm on Friday.
