I FULLY agree with your correspondent (Letters, March 15) who said that the consultation regarding the future of Blackamoor School in Blackburn was a sham.
We all know the Director of Education, Mark Pattison, his assistant Jill Baker and education chairman Councillor Bill Taylor have already decided the fate of this excellent school. The other members of the Education Committee will no doubt follow their leader like sheep. How many of them have even bothered to visit the school?
In the past there used to be Rotten Boroughs - where a few people had all the power and they did not have to listen to the views of the ordinary people. Thank goodness that they are a thing of the past. Or are they?
T BAKER (Mr), Preston Old Road, Blackburn.
