SIX years ago, the country was justifiably horrified by the revolting sadistic murder of little Jamie Bulger by two 10-year-old monsters.

Some speak of justice, but justice is only for the guilty. No-one in the legal profession will give help and consideration to the innocent. As I write, it is Mothering Sunday. Jamie's mother has carried the daily memory of the bleeding, battered child. And, no, she won't get a card from little Jamie, but she may have to witness the spectacle of people trying to free the killers of her son.

In the course of time, she may see them released. Perhaps they will marry and have children of their own - in fact, a total travesty of justice. Those misguided people who are against capital punishment will always prevent a just society. When a crime is committed no thought should be given to age - if you are old enough and low enough to commit a crime you are old enough to take the punishment.
