AROUND a thousand scooter owners got on their bikes to bring a smile to the faces of children in hospital.
Riders from the Burnley and Pendle branch of the Scooter Club joined the massive rally from Lowton, near Leigh, to the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital, Pendlebury, with Easter eggs and soft toys for the young patients.
Among them, Simon Clements, of Kingsley Street, Nelson, said: "It was a brilliant day. There was a really good atmosphere and we had good weather."
The branch meets every Wednesday night at the Park View pub, opposite Burnley Football Club, and new members are welcome.
