POLICE saw Sarfraz Khan spin the wheels of his car as he set off from traffic lights at the bottom of Lower Audley in Blackburn.
And when the officers stopped him further up the road, he was found to be over the drink-driving limit.
Khan, 19, of Nottingham Street, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to driving with excess alcohol, without insurance, licence or MoT, and with two defective tyres.
He was fined a total of £120 and banned from driving for 12 months.
Wendy Shackleton, prosecuting, said it was 4am when officers saw Khan at the traffic lights.
He was revving his car engine loudly.
Both front wheels spun as he set off and as the road joined Audley Range, the car slewed on to the opposite side of the road.
