JUBILANT residents in the Towneley area of Burnley celebrated victory in a two-year battle to stop plans for a gipsy site.
A coach party of 50 packed into a meeting of Lancashire land and buildings committee to hear councillors unanimously reject any plan for a home for caravan dwellers on the former Towneley colliery and brickworks site.
