BLACKBURN Rovers have received no inquiries for unsettled keeper Tim Flowers.
But the current Ewood number two is still determined to leave Ewood Park in a search for regular first team football.
Flowers had a transfer request rejected soon after the arrival of new boss Brian Kidd.
It was clear that Kidd was prepared to stick by Aussie keeper John Filan, who is playing superbly as Rovers battle to beat the drop.
But England international Flowers, believes this is a crucial time in his career.
He told a supporters' association Meet The Keepers night at Ewood Park: "I think they understand my situation.
"I have not had my bottom lip on the ground and John Williams and Brian Kidd have been fine with me.
"But I do need to be playing at my age of 32.
"I have learned my trade and, if I have to lower my sights, then great.
"This is a big club but I would rather play first team football than reserve team football.
"I totally respect John Filan and he is the number one keeper and is in the team at the moment."
Asked if there had been a number of clubs interested in his situation, Flowers replied: "No, not really. We will have to wait and see what happens." Chief executive John Williams confirmed: "We haven't had any formal inquiries but we made it clear from the outset that Tim wasn't available."
Rival Filan was keen to hand Flowers a vote of confidence.
He said: "There's no real benefit to anyone if there's bad blood between the keepers.
"I have got as much respect for Tim as he has for me.
"He is a great goalkeeper and will be playing in the Premier League again, if not at this club then at another."
Filan is keen to further his own international ambitions.
But a chance of playing for Ireland, because of his Irish grandfather, look to be doomed because Filan represented Australia in the Barcelona Olympics. He said: "That will possibly rule me out. I am not really sure but I don't think it's possible at the moment."
And there is still a chance that Filan could be called up for the full Australia squad.
Former Ewood boss Roy Hodgson, who preferred Flowers as number one during his reign at Rovers, had been touted as the new Aussie manager.
Filan said: "There was a chance he would get the Australia job but fortunately he didn't, so I might have a chance to play!"
One keeper set for a short-term move is fourth choice Anthony Williams, the Wales under 21 international.
Bristol Rovers have been interested in taking the youngster on loan before tomorrow's transfer deadline.
