POLICE are searching for two men after an attempted robbery and assault of the manager at Burnley's Aldi store.
The men, who were in their early 30s, were disturbed by the manager as they attempted to remove a television from a back storeroom at the Active Way supermarket.
They knocked him to the ground and one attempted to kick his head, before fleeing the store empty-handed at 11am yesterday.
One man is described as white, clean shaven, 5' 10" tall with light brown hair and wearing denim jeans, white trainers and a black donkey jacket.
His accomplice was white 6' 2" tall with black hair and wearing light coloured trousers, black boots and an Adidas jogging top with three white stripes down the sleeve. He also wore a black bobble hat.
Anyone with information should contact Det Sgt Steve Chard on 01282 25001.
