GINGER'S Easter Egg run hit the streets on Saturday!
Around 1,000 scooters set off from Lowton Civic Hall to take 2 thousand toys and Easter eggs to Manchester Children's Hospital.
The brainchild of Kevin 'Ginger' Lawton, of Railway Street, Atherton, the first run attracted 150 scooters in 1987.
Organiser Caroline Lawton, Ginger's wife, said: "We would like to thank local residents around the civic hall for persevering with us.
"They were brilliant and many of them, along with others on the route, gave eggs.
"Also, a big thank you to Lowton's Clarke Transport, who used one of their vehicles as back-up, in case of breakdown."
