ADD a Voice, a local group which helps make life easier for disadvantaged and vulnerable people, is appealing for volunteers.
The advocacy development group for Wigan and Leigh is aiming to give people, who may not be able to speak up for themselves, a voice and offer a listening ear.
The organisation, with the help of the National Lottery, is promoting, supporting and developing advocacy across the borough.
Volunteers can join the team, based at 53 Church Street, Leigh, to help in many ways including clerical and office work, cataloguing resources and volunteer advocacy itself.
All helpers will be given ongoing training and support as well as the opportunities to develop new skills.
Anyone who would like more information on becoming a volunteer can contact Jean Stitt or George Kearton, on 01942 601563.
