ONCE again, we have been overwhelmed by the generosity of the people in Darwen and surrounding areas.
Our recent annual one-week charity shop in the town raised a staggering £2,425. Our heartfelt thanks go to all our supporters who helped in contributing to the running of the shop, or in donating items to sell. A special mention must go to the proprietor of the shop.
Such was the generosity of the donations that the large quantity of goods left at the end of the week has been delivered to our Manchester depot to be distributed among our permanent Cancer Research shops.
