POLICE are appealing to members of a Lancaster gang of thuggish teenagers to shop one of their number after a vicious attack.
The 24-year-old male victim was chased from McDonalds to Lune Street by the gang after what a police spokesman described as a "something and nothing argument" got out of hand.
Once they tracked him to the quiet street one of the gang hit him over the head with a bottle. He then had a broken bottle thrust into his face. He was treated at the RLI and was in a serious condition although he is now improving. The attack took place on Sunday, March 14 at about 9.15pm.
DS Mark Salisbury of Lancaster Police made the appeal: "What we are appealing for is members of that gang to contact us if they know the perpetrator of that attack. Any information will be treated in the strictest confidence. This was a mindless and unprovoked attack and police are continuing their enquiries."
