FINANCIAL assistance is now available to help new and existing small businesses in Bury. Through the Bury Investment and Loan Fund, packages from £4,000 upwards can be made available to qualifying businesses.
The fund is administered by economic development specialists, Enterprise plc, on behalf of Bury Council, with financial assistance from Bury's Single Regeneration Budget scheme.
In addition to finance, small firms also receive help and advice in preparing applications and continuing support when the money has been agreed.
Project manager Linda Oakes of Enterprise explained: "Grants worth £1,000 are available to small businesses which can match that amount.
"With that £2,000 in place, a minimum loan of a further £2,000 can be available from a major high street bank."
