ALAN HADCROFT has joined Leigh's growing casualty list.
The winger, who scored a crucial try in Sunday's 16-12 win over Featherstone Rovers, was sent to hospital for x-rays on a damaged shoulder.
"It doesn't look too promising," reported coach Ian Millward. "The doctor feels he might have cracked a collar bone. We'll just have to wait and see what the x-rays show."
But Hadcroft's injury was tempered by the return to action of goalkicking winger Paul Wingfield who has now fully recovered from a double hernia operation.
Half-back Kieron Purtill, who pulled out of Sunday's game because of a shoulder problem, should be fit to resume at Barrow next Sunday.
Aussie second rower Heath Cruickshank could also be back for the trip to Craven Park after missing against Rovers with a badly bruised cheekbone.
Leigh's U21s Alliance team lost their 100 per cent record when they were edged out 32-30 at Featherstone last Thursday.
Leigh's points came from tries by Stuart Dickinson 3, Mickey Higham and Dean Conway with Paul Wingfield landing five goals.
