A GROUP of Blackburn workers are kicking themselves after narrowly missing sharing a lottery jackpot.
The 11 hopefuls from Walker Farrimond Mazda, Brownhill Garage, Whalley New Road, still managed to clinch more than £2,000 between them, after one of their lucky dip tickets matched the five numbers drawn.
But to make the near miss even worse - the sixth number was just one digit out. If all six numbers had come up, they would have clinched a quarter of the £12m jackpot.
However, franchise manager Mark Neild prefers to look on the bright side. He said: "We haven't won more than the odd £10 before.
"When we found out just how close we had come to the jackpot it was a little bit disappointing. Even so, we will probably throw a party to celebrate."
