LANCASHIRE'S hopes of adding the Cape Town International Trophy to their 1998 double were wrecked by a second defeat, this time slipping to Boland in a dramatic last ball finish.
After their batsmen had failed in the first game against Glamorgan, who are also touring South Africa, Lancashire's bowlers were unable to protect a respectable total of 221-7 in which Mark Chilton hit 56 and MIke Watkinson 43 and Boland snatched victory with a wicked left.
