A GOOD Samaritan had her purse stolen from her shopping bag while she was giving first aid in McDonald's restaurant in Burnley on Saturday.
Det Sgt Tony Hilton said: "The victim was giving first aid to a lady who had collapsed in the restaurant."
Stolen was a purse containing £20, driving licence and Halifax Bank card.
The pickpocket is described as a pale chubby faced woman aged between 25 and 30, five feet tall, with brown curly hair in a pony tail
DS Hilton said: "We are appealing for information especially from anyone who saw the incident in McDonald's.
"It was fairly busy and people will have been watching help being given to the lady who collapsed.''
