COMMUNITY groups encouraged to bid for lottery cash at a recent conference are drawing up plans for projects.
The National Lottery Charities Board arranged a seminar at the Dunkenhalgh Hotel, Clayton-le-Moors, to raise awareness of its small grants scheme.
Voluntary and community groups can bid for up to £5,000 under the scheme, but there have been few applications from East Lancashire.
Claire Tindall, Hyndburn and Ribble Valley Council for Voluntary Service, said: "Organisations such as residents and tenants associations have been given advice on how to make successful bids and it has been a very encouraging response to the conference."
