DIVISION One leaders and champions Kings Inn dropped two vital points in their quest to retain the title as they were held to a draw by Bee Hive.
Neil Cook was on target for the champions with Lee Sculpher scoring for Bee Hive. Old Toll Bar went nap hitting seven against Lord Raglan. Ryan Clanford led the way with a hat trick with the others coming from Craig Andre (two), Gordon Moore and Brett Duxbury. Gareth Pugh got Raglan's consolation goal. New Gardeners kept up their title challenge defeating Station by the odd goal in five.
Paul Hulme (two) and Dave Berry scored for New Gardeners with Paul Mashiter and John Eastham replying for Station. In a weekend of double headers Mashiter and Eastham were again on target as Station beat Jubilee who also went down to Darwen Alexandra for whom John Smith scored. Alex were also in action twice beating White Bull with goals by Denny Khan and Dave Atkinson. In Division Two Servicemaster did their promotion hopes no harm with victory over Foresters who made them fight all the way. Two goals from Steve Mullen and one from Graham Coates had given Servicemaster a three-goal lead, but Foresters pulled two back with a Chris Role penalty and one from Glen Smith, before a second Coates goal made the game safe.
Aqueduct and the Moorings played out a goalless draw. The Moorings, also in action twice, scored seven against Stanley Arms. Gary Bush scored four times with the other Moorings goals coming from Karl Beaumont and Matt Boyle. John Francis and a Vic Booth own goal were Stanley Arms scorers.
Stanley Arms also went down 2-0 to Witton Inn for whom Shaun Smith and Dave Cox were on target. Witton Inn were also in action twice, drew with Aqueduct one goal each. Darwen St Peter's continued their recent run of good form as they overcame West End with goals from Gary Watters (two) and Keith Seddon. Mick O'Callaghan got two for West End. In Division Three, Uncle Jack's continued their battle for promotion with a hard-fought victory over Sign and Poster. The winning goal came midway through the second half from Michael Ashton. Walmsley's promotion hopes were hit as they went down to a single goal scored by Marriotts Accountants Gareth Lowe. Leaders Swan were held to a draw by another promotion-seeking side Longshaw. Gary Foulds scored for Swan with Stewart Kendall on target for Longshaw. James Street stay firmly on the bottom as they went down to Malt and Hops whose goals came from Graham Gornall and Chris Walsh. Ian Storey got the James Street goal.
Fox and Hounds went down to two defeats, losing to King Edward for whom Chris Corbett scored, and then losing to Stanley Racing. Steve Dunne and Barry Lethard scored for the Hounds with Stanley Racing's goals coming from Steve Kay (four), Steve Errey and Mark Aspden. King Edward are the March winners of the Bleasdales Fair Play League.
