Bacup Borough 0 Daisy Hill 0
THE vast amount of chances created by both sides made this NWTL Division Two goalless draw an amazing result.
Bacup will look back and consider it points lost rather one gained after they had taken the initiative from the start.
But Daisy Hill countered and the Bacup keeper had to be good form to keep a clean sheet.
At the other end the visitors' keeper was in equally good form as he kept his side in the game.
Both Denny Khan for Bacup, and Robert Elwell for Daisy Hill, missed good scoring chances as the sides became frustrated at their inability to find the net.
The second half followed much the same pattern as the first, with play switching from end-to-end up, but again chance after chance went begging despite Borough's young Nicky Taylor creating some superb opportunities from the right flank but no-one getting on the end of them to score.
Full credit must go to both defences for keeping it tight hold at the back. Neil Rowbotham was the kingpin for Bacup, but dissappointingly, so was the visitors' defensive rock Chris Williams.
