SOCCER: Great Harwood Town inflicted only the second defeat of the season on second-placed Blackburn Dynamos in the Hyndburn and District Boys' League Under-14s Red section.

In the Under-13s Cup semi-final ties, the best game by far was Haslingden Juniors beating Huncoat United after extra time. The score was 2-2 at full time with Haslingden going 4-2 ahead in extra time. Huncoat pulled one back, but were unable to add to their tally.

The other encounter was more clearcut, with Langho putting up a below-par performance.
