TEXTILE machinery firm Hollingsworth is the latest firm to cotton on to the benefits of staff training.
The Great Harwood firm behind the famous Platt machinery names, has just been recognised under the Investors in People scheme organised locally by ELTEC.
The firm specialises in the manufacture and service of textile machinery including spinning and bleached fibre processing machines and replacement parts for Platt machines.
"By analysing and improving skills we have been able to develop a much more highly skilled and motivated staff team," said product development Geoffrey Ogden.
"Armed with increased knowledge and confidence this team has been able to help the company successfully diversify and develop new and innovative products."
Four other East Lancashire employers have recently been awarded IIP status including Pendle Enterprise Trust, Nelson, Bacup-based Pennine Vibropiling, Briercliffe County Primary School and Briercliffe County Primary School.
