SCHOOLGIRL Claire Farrington is jumping for joy after she collected trampolining's top accolade.
Claire, 11, a pupil at Our Lady and St Edwards RC Primary School, passed the sports A-grade during a tournament in Bournemouth last month.
KIRKHAM Grammar School sixth-former Richard Wire has made an impact on Scottish rugby, completing a successful tour of Spain with the U18s team.
He was voted man of the match after scoring two tries in the first tour game in Spain, which the Scots won 30-8 against Madrid.
He now hopes to be selected for the squad to tour New Zealand later this year.
PRESTON-based racehorse trainer Eric Alston got his Flat season campaign off to a winning start when seven-year-old Tedburrow won the listed £15,000 Cammidge Trophy at Doncaster, over six furlongs.
