I WOULD like to thank all of your readers who took the time and, in some cases, considerable trouble, to e-mail me with various tips, files and links in my search for a street plan of St Helens.
I was also impressed by the number of ex-patriots from all parts of the world who had read my e-mail plea in the St Helens Star. I had replies from Australia, New Zealand, the USA, Poland, Mexico and several from Denmark and Germany. It seems like we St Helens'ers really get about but we never forget our roots. Once again, thanks to all who replied.
