LEIGH author Joseph Wildman has this week scooped four writing awards - including the top prize.
Joseph, of Wigan Road, won two cups and the Geoffrey Handley-Taylor Rose Bowl with the Lady Hulton Award for Writer of the Year in the Lancashire Authors' Association competition.
He collected the Scholes Cup for his Lancashire dialect poem "Moorland Edge" and the Pomfret Cup for a short dialect story "Han'Yo' getten Onny?"
The awards were presented at the association's annual meeting in Chorley recently.
