LEIGH and Wigan police station enquiry counters will remain open 24 hours a day.
Atherton, Tyldesley, and Hindley offices will be open during office hours 9am to 5pm and closed Sundays and Bank Holidays.
The changes in GMP's Wigan division are in common with alterations across Greater Manchester, which it is said will improve the level of service provided to the public.
A police spokesperson said: "At least one enquiry counter will open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, in every major town within the county.
"These will provide front line access to the public and a place of safety for the more vunerable members of society at all times."
