LEYLAND'S new festival princess and queen have been crowned ready for the big day, Saturday, June 5.
Jerri Hinds, nine, who attends St Mary's Primary School, was selected in the competition held at Leyland Motors Club, Thurston Road, Leyland, to become the new princess.
She was crowned by reigning festival queen Francesca Slater and won a mountain bike, portrait photograph, hot-air balloon ride and a gown to wear on festival day.
Her attendants will be Amy Nutall, 9, who attends Leyland Methodist Junior School, and Gemma Gordon, 11, who goes to Wellfield School, Leyland.

The queen elect will be Megan SiM- n Hallam, 17, a student at Runshaw College, whose will be attended by Lisa Jane Wignall, 16, who goes to Stewarts Training College, and Emma Elizabeth Turner, 16, also at Runshaw.
